I put the foot down without any weight to ensure it's safe to transfer the weight. I may also want to pick the foot up to step elsewhere without lurching backwards to do so or execute a kick.

This means staying on the supporting leg a little bit longer.

Secondly I step with the ball of the foot almost touching down before the heel and foot rest on the ground. The image I have is a swallow swooping down but very gently.

Christianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17471279753965989365noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4243408615692921720.post-71739391132123882012024-02-25T06:52:00.000-08:002024-02-25T06:52:00.082-08:00Unlock Your Tai Chi Potential: Strengthening Kua and Yao for MobilityChristianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17471279753965989365noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4243408615692921720.post-16153838507290066812024-02-22T13:02:00.000-08:002024-02-22T13:02:18.141-08:00Q&A on how to increase breath or lung capacityChristianhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17471279753965989365noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4243408615692921720.post-41204462333415593642024-02-03T03:16:00.001-08:002024-02-03T03:16:56.616-08:00Chungliang Al Huang: TaiJi at Wu Yi Mountain.
